Jennifer L. Erickson is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Quincy Institute and Associate Professor of Political Science and International Studies at Boston College. Her research interests include arms transfers, conventional and nonconventional arms control, sanctions and arms embargoes, and the laws and norms of war. Her first book, Dangerous Trade: Arms Exports, Human Rights, and International Reputation (2015), examines the development of multilateral arms export controls. Her current book project explores the historical and contemporary cases of new weapons technologies and the creation of new laws and norms of war. Dr. Erickson has held fellowships at Stanford University and Dartmouth College, and has been a faculty affiliate at MIT and Harvard University. She has also been a research fellow at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) and the Wissenschaftszentrum (WZB) in Berlin. She has a B.A. in Political Science from St. Olaf College and a PhD in Government from Cornell University.
