Osamah Khalil is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Quincy Institute and Associate Professor of History at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. Khalil is the author of America’s Dream Palace: Middle East Expertise and the Rise of the National Security State (2016). He is also the editor of United States Relations with China and Iran: Toward the Asian Century (2019). Khalil has been a frequent media commentator and contributor, including for Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times, The National, Al-Quds al-Arabi, The Hill, Al Akhbar, and Al Jazeera.
