Quincy Radio: Trita Parsi on BBC’s Newsday discussing Iraqi forces raid of Iran-backed militia base

Quincy Institute Executive Vice President Trita Parsi joins BBC Newsday to discuss the Iraqi Army raid on the paramilitary group Katai’b Hezbollah, the potential motives for this raid, and its implications for Iraqi and regional politics.

 

Kata’ib Hezbollah is a Shi’a militia backed by Iraq’s neighbor Iran. The group has drawn U.S. ire for its attacks on American forces.
