Brandon Angel formerly served as an Advocacy Associate at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. Prior to working at Quincy Institute, Brandon served as an Infantryman with the U.S. Army. He served for one year at the DMZ in South Korea where he was attached to United Nations Command Security Battalion-Joint Security Area. He also served with Bravo Company 1-12 at Fort Carson, CO. After serving in the military, he would earn his undergrad degree in Political Science with a minor in International Studies from Liberty University. He is currently working on his M.P.P with an International Cognate at Liberty as well. Using his experience in South Korea as a guide, he got involved within the John Quincy Adams Society, completing their Foreign Policy Development course. He also was named the VFW/SVA Legislative Fellow for 2021, advocating for legislation that would help end veteran homelessness by providing the rental history for service members that lived in the barracks.
