Daniel Steinmetz-Jenkins is a non-resident fellow at the Quincy Institute and assistant professor in the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University. He is the author of the forthcoming book Impossible Peace, Improbable War: Raymond Aron and World Order. He is also completing a book on religion and contemporary politics. His next project is devoted to the history of the antiwar and nonviolence political tradition from the French Revolution to the present. Steinmetz-Jenkins runs a regular interview series for The Nation. He is the reviews and essays editor at Modern Intellectual History. His public commentary has appeared in The Nation, The Guardian, The Atlantic, Times Literary Supplement, Dissent Magazine, Foreign Affairs, and elsewhere.
