Stavroula Pabst is a reporter for Responsible Statecraft and a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Athens, Greece. Her doctoral research focuses on how NGO communications and reporting influence media coverage of the war in Syria.

Originally from Ohio, Pabst holds history degrees from the Ohio State University (B.A.) and McGill University (M.A.). She is a satire writer and stand-up comedian, and her writing has appeared in publications including the Harvard Business Review, Slate, Al Mayadeen English, and Reductress.
