In Search of Monsters — Paths of Dissent

On this special Memorial Day edition of In Search of Monsters, host Chris Lydon turns to QI President Andrew Bacevich’s recently edited book, “Dissent: Soldiers Speak Out Against American’s Misguided Award”, an anthology of essays from Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. The book offers a raw collection of anti-militarism, voiced from the very individuals who experienced these disastrous wars firsthand.

This episode highlights these very veteran voices’, bringing them on to discuss their memories of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, and how they came to a position of dissent in the aftermath of their deployments. A powerful listen on this somber day of reflection.
