Andrew Bacevich co-founded the Quincy Institute in 2019 and is the Chairman of the institution’s board of directors. He is Professor Emeritus of International Relations and History at Boston University. A graduate of West Point and Princeton, he served in the army before becoming an academic. Bacevich is the author, co-author, or editor of more than a dozen books, among them: The New American Militarism (2005), The Limits of Power (2008), Washington Rules (2010), America’s War for the Greater Middle East (2016), The Age of Illusions (2020), After the Apocalypse (2021), Paths of Dissent: Soldiers Speak Out against America’s Forever Wars (2022), and On Shedding an Obsolete Past: Bidding Farewell to the American Century (2022).
