Dan M. Ford is a research associate in the Global South Program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. He primarily researches and writes about US foreign policy towards Africa, with a particular focus on central Africa, Sudan, the Sahel, and South Africa. Dan also covers cross-cutting issues related to the broader Global South, such as development finance and international trade. At QI, Dan has published research briefs and notes on several different subjects, including global public health, US trade with sub-Saharan Africa, and American development finance. Dan has written for Responsible Statecraft, Inkstick, and The National Interest, and has been quoted in The Washington Post and The Washington Examiner. He speaks English, French, and Albanian.
