James R. Webb is an Advocacy Associate at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, where he focuses primarily on building Quincy Institute’s relationships and presence on Capitol Hill.
Previously, James served as a Military Legislative Assistant for Senator Rand Paul and as the Senator’s representative on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from from 2018-2020. He has worked as a journalist, including a stint embedding with U.S. forces as a photographer in Afghanistan. Additionally, James was a defense contractor and a Field Director, and a Defense Policy Advisor for a successful 2022 U.S. Senate campaign.
From 2005-2010 James served as a Marine Corps Infantryman and is a combat veteran of the war in Iraq.
