Samuel Moyn is a non-resident fellow at the Quincy Institute and Henry R. Luce Professor of Jurisprudence and Professor of History at Yale University. His most recent book is “Not Enough: Human Rights in an Unequal World” (Harvard University Press, 2018); he is currently writing a study for Farrar Straus Giroux on the origins and significance of increasingly humane war in American history, culminating in our own time of “endless war.” Before Yale, he held faculty positions at Columbia and Harvard Universities, and hails from St. Louis, Missouri.
