Alex Jordan is deputy communications director at the Quincy Institute. Previously, he served as the senior communications associate at the Advancement Project National Office, providing strategic communications guidance in support of grassroots efforts to advance racial justice and protect civil rights.

Before joining the Advancement Project, Alex worked as a senior media advocacy manager at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, developing and executing communications strategies surrounding federal, state, and local public health policies proven to reduce cancer incidence and death. Alex also worked in communications in the United States Senate, where he promoted progressive policies to advance the health, dignity, and wellbeing of all people.

Alex began his career as a campaign organizer, working to build the power of communities in metropolitan Atlanta. He has worked as a contributing editor and press strategist on two published books, and holds a B.A. from Kenyon College, where he focused his studies on anti-imperialism in Irish literature.
