Dr. Narayanappa Janardhan is the director of research and a professor at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, United Arab Emirates. He offers post-graduate diploma, masters, and executive training courses on Gulf and Asian foreign policies. He is a non-resident fellow at the Arab Gulf States Institute, a non-resident fellow at the Great Game Lab at Arizona State University; an adjunct professor at the International Catholic University in France; and a co-facilitator of Track II and Track 1.5 diplomatic initiatives. With a PhD from the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India, he publishes frequently in international academic, think tank, and media publications. Dr Janardhan is the author of six books. Two of these, published in 2026, are: Workarounding: The Rise of Tech Middle Power Cooperation in a Turbulent World (Palgrave-Springer); and Global Gulf: Geo-Economic, Geo-Political and Geo-Technological Transformation in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar (Gerlach).
