Afghanistan: One Year Later
Research Fellow Adam Weinstein reflects on the unmitigated failure that was the war in Afghanistan. A year now removed from our military departure, we must come to terms with this failure and chart a new path forward, a path centered around over-the-horizon counterterrorism, conditions-based engagement with the Taliban, and the easing of suffering for the Afghan people.
